The event was supported by the Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Kudnem\, Mr. Rajan Palkar\, who has been an ardent supporter of Suraksha Warriors. \nThe event was attended by a large number of women and children from low-income families\, who were in dire need of menstrual hygiene products and nutritious food. Suraksha Warriors organized the distribution of sanitary pads and a hot and nutritious lunch for everyone in attendance. \nMrs. Carol Fernandes\, the secretary of Suraksha Warriors\, gave a speech on menstrual hygiene and the importance of proper nutrition for overall health. She emphasized the need to break the taboo surrounding menstruation and ensure that every woman has access to hygienic products. \nThe event would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the core members of Suraksha Warriors\, namely Siddhi\, Suraj\, and John. DESCRIPTION:Over 100 students clean up Calangute beach on International Coastal Clean-up Day\nThe year has seen Suraksha Warriors indulge in multiple clean-up drives across various city beaches. However\, the drive that took place on Calangute beach on Saturday morning was Something Deffrent — over 100 students had flocked to the beach with just one goal — to do their bit for their beloved city’s environment and the ocean.\n\n\nSchool kids got together along with NGO Suraksha Warriors and young volunteers to not just clean the beach\, but also attended on-site talks on waste segregation\, participated in the city’s first-ever clean-up competition\, and walked away with prizes for collecting the most amount of trash. What was interesting is kids from all sections of the society — street kids\, underprivileged children and kids studying in international schools — worked alongside each other in tandem as they learnt things related to coastal clean-up.\n\n\n\nEducative skits were staged at the event to ensure that students learn basic\, yet essential things of keeping the surroundings clean in a fun\, playful way. The Suraksha Warriors made the event interactive as they believe that the best way to ensure the future is safe is when kids are taught to take care of the ocean and the environment without being preachy. John fernandes\, and The President Arvind Tendulkar From Suraksha Warriors\, said\, “Our whole purpose was to teach students about the importance of waste segregation and acknowledge the efforts required to clean the beaches while building a sense of social responsibility.”

DESCRIPTION:Bringing smiles on faces of orphanage childrens by Suraksha Warriors on this Father’s Day. When we entered the home\, we were taken by surprise as there were more number of children than we had imagined also we have seen drawings on wall painted by childrens side of the entrance which was so amazing. There was a common room where the children both boys and girls ranging from the ages of 3 to 16 years were seen. Some of them were indulged in watching the television\,some girls were busy playing with their dolls and others were staring at us.\nWe had brought with us food\, juices \, drawing books\, crayons\, pencils etc. which we distributed amongst the children. They were ecstatic to have food from outside and were even more elated when they received the stationary from us. We segregated ourselves and went to talk individually to everyone. \nThe visit to the orphanage was a fulfilling experience for Us as we came back home with not only memories but also some valuable lessons.
